Special operation mobile court to protect Jatka and other marine species of fish eggs, larvae and fry was conducted in Padma river in Kumarkhali, Kushtia.

During the raid, 10,000 meters of current nets were destroyed by burning and fishing boats were seized.At that time the Jatka was confiscated and a fine of 13000/ rupees was imposed, the confiscated Jatka fish was distributed to the local orphanage. Assistant Commissioner (Land) KushtiaSadar, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kumarkhali, MdAmirul Arafat, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer of Fisheries Department MdMahmudulHasan are participating in this campaign.
