The newly constructed building of Regional Passport Office has been inaugurated to ensure speedy service to the general public of Bandarban.The inauguration was organized by the Directorate of Immigration and Passports on Thursday (October 26). The Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP)

 inaugurated the newly constructed building as the chief guest.

Director General of Immigration and Passport Directorate Major General Md.Nurul Anwar presided over the event.

Commander of 69 Infantry Brigade Brigadier General Golam Mohiuddin Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Shah Mujahid Uddin, Superintendent of Police Saikat Shaheen, Municipal Mayor Samsul Islam were present.At The Time A discussion meeting was held in the office premises to mark the inauguration of the newly constructed building of Bandarban Regional Passport Office.

Bandarban Public Works Department has implemented the construction work of this newly built three-storey building at a cost of Tk 4 crore 35 lakh.It is known that the modern facility of e-gate use and e-passport issuance including waiting area, receiving counter,passport delivery counter, pre-enrollment room,disabled service room, server room has been ensured at this passport office.
