National safe road day was celebrated in Bandarban with the motto “Follow the law on the road,Build a smart Bangladesh” Keeping this theme in mind National Safe Road Day was celebrated in Bandarban. On the occasion of the day, a discussion meeting was held jointly organized by the district administration and BRTA Bandarban office on Sunday (October 22). Deputy Commissioner Shah Mujahid Uddin was present as the chief guest in the event. Additional District Magistrate Umme Kulsom presided over the function. Additional Superintendent of Police Hossain Md. Raihan Kazemi, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Nayan Salauddin, Assistant Director of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Bandarban office Md. Anwar Hossain,Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector Md. Millatur Rashid and senior officials of various public and private departments were present. The speakers in the meeting said that there are many accidents happening in Bangladesh and one of the reasons for the accidents is not obeying the traffic laws on the roads. Everyone should be aware to create safe roads. The speakers also said that everyone should be aware to create safe roads And urged everyone to obey the law and work together to build a smart Bangladesh.  Meanwhile, before the discussion meeting, a colorful rally came out from the premises of the DC and went around the main main road of the city and ended at the same place. People from different professions participated in the rally with banners and placards.
