A delegation from South Sudan came to know the experience of Chittagong City Corporation in solid waste management in collaboration with JICA. The delegation included South Sudan Ministry of Environment and Juba City Council officials and JICA officials.

Thursday (October 12) Mayor Bir Muktijoddha at Chasik office of Tiger Pass. They met with Rezaul Karim Chowdhury.

Then Chasik’s acting chief executive officer Khaled Mahmud, mayor’s private secretary and chief cleaning officer Abul Hashem and supervising engineer Ali Akbar presented the waste management program of Chasik to the delegation.

The delegation visited various landfills and waste management facilities of Chasik and appreciated Chasik’s role in keeping the city clean.
