The Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) Said that,the Bandarabad municipality should monitor whether the building is being constructed as per the approved design. One should not suffer a hundred while satisfying one person.Victims will not vote during elections.Both sides of the Mekchi stream,the only rainwater outlet from the district town,have been encroached.This results in waterlogging when there is little rain.

Everyone wants no waterlogging or flooding.Allegedly not working.But when the officials go to work,you are the one who obstructs them.Please help the administration.We will work.So that waterlogging and flooding do not occur.

Minister Bir Bahadur said these things while speaking as the chief guest of the Sudhi rally organized at the Bandarban Municipal premises on Saturday (October 7).The minister also said that Bandarban is now a development role model. Government has allocated Tk 297 crore for water supply works in Bandarban and Lama municipalitiesOut of this,165 crores for Lama municipality.

Which will start working from November.
Municipal Mayor Md.Shamsul Islam presided over the gathering organized on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of various development works under Bandarban municipality and inaugurating LED street lights.

On this day,Minister Bir Bahadur inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various roads and developmental works of the municipality at a cost of Tk 5 crore 18 lakh under the implementation of Bandarban Municipality.Bandarban Region Commander Brigadier General Golam Mohiuddin Ahmed,Bandarban Zone Zone Commander Lt. Col. Mahmudul Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md.Saiful Islam,Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md.Shah Alam were present as special guests.
