The gang of robbers could not digest the looted money. DB sources say the accused are professional robbers. The accused were earlier arrested in DB raids. After getting bail in that case, they chose to rob again with the help of each other.
But this time too, the end was not saved, when Ruhul Amin (60), a retired railway employee filed a complaint at Pahartali police station, the case was handed over to the DB on the instructions of the investigation commissioner. A team of brave and smart officers under the supervision of DB Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohammad Ali Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Samim Kabir, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Tarek Aziz conducted a 48-hour raid in different places of Chottogram with the help of information technology.
After reviewing more than 40 CCTV footages, the mastermind of the incident, Nurul Haque Sajib (33), accomplice Mohiuddin Bellal (42), Md. Raihan (28), was able to be arrested. A looted cash of TK 11,30,000/- was recovered from their custody. And the CNG used in the robbery was also taken into police custody.
DB Deputy Commissioner Ali Hossain told Morning Glory that it was not possible to catch one more accused, if he is caught, it is expected that another Tk-150,000/- will be recovered. And the rest of the money has been spent by the defendants.

Retired Railway employ Nurul Haque said that if I didn’t get this money, I had no choice but to die, if it wasn’t for DB, I would have died. I will pray for DB officers forever. Last September 18th, on the eve of leaving for the purpose of withdrawing my last pension amount of 15 taka from Pahatali Islami Bank branch and depositing it at Sonali Bank branch in Agrabad, some robbers in the CNG train disappeared with the money.
