A human chain program was held to protest the attack on Jubo League activist Noor Nabi (45) in Durgapur of Netrokona and to demand exemplary punishment by arresting the attackers. Local people organized this human chain in Shibganj market of Durgapur on Tuesday afternoon.
Shooter Shamim, UP Chairman Abdul Awal, Badi and 11 others have been named and a case has been registered in Durgapur police station on Monday. The police arrested two accused and sent them to court.
Kullagara Union Awami League President Mobarak Hossain, Union Awami League Vice President and UP former Panel Chairman Idris Ali, Awami League leaders Fazlul Haque, Manju Miah, Chhatra League leader Rumon Talukder spoke.
Shamim Ahmed’s brother Kullagarh UP Chairman Abdul Awal said that a case has been filed on false allegations.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Durgapur police station Uttam Chand Dev said that a case has been filed in the police station regarding the attack. Two people have been arrested in connection with the attack. Efforts are on to arrest the other accused in the case.
