The 50th Bangladesh National School, Madrasa and Technical Education Summer Sports Competition-2023 closing Ceremony and prize distribution was held at Bandarban.Bandarban District Education Office organized the closing ceremony and prize distribution at Bandarban District Stadium on Sunday (September 17).

The Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) was present as the chief guest on the closing ceremony.Deputy Commissioner Shah Mujahid Uddin presided over the event.

During the speech of the chief guest,Minister Bir Bahadur said that sports keep the body and mind healthy.Also,sports play a special role in staying away from drugs.In addition to studies,all the youths we have should practice sports and sports.He said with special attention to the parents,in order to form the next generation properly, you should give proper guidance to your children as well as emphasize on sports practice.

In the final day football competition, Bir Bahadur School and College football team defeated Lama Government High School football team by 1-0.Additional Deputy Commissioner Umm Kulsum,Additional Superintendent of Police Md.Shah Alam, Mayor Md.Shamsul Islam,District Education Officer Md.Faridur Alam Hossaini and many others were present.

On the occasion of the 50th Summer Sports Competition,Minister for Hills Bir Bahadur gave prizes to the winners of various events including kabaddi,handball,Swimming, football,chess held with the competitors of various educational institutions of 7 upazilas of Bandarban.
