“The government is plotting to empty the political field of the opposition”
Dhaka/
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that before the elections, the government is plotting to empty the field of politics by punishing the leaders and activists of BNP and opposition parties in false cases. For this purpose, Khaleda Zia, Tarek Rahman, Dr. Top leaders including Zobaida Rahman have been sentenced. Old cases against district leaders are also being executed quickly. Some have also been ordered to be executed.
He said these things at a doa mahfil organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP in Nayapaltan on Thursday afternoon to wish for the well-being of party chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia and Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP member secretary Rafiqul Alam Majnu and demand release from prison. It was chaired by Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP convener Abdus Salam.
Mirza Fakhrul said that the government is using the court to make a farce in the name of justice. They have indulged in a nefarious plot to re-elect Patano to perpetuate the illegitimate power. When the democratic states are imposing visa policies with sanctions for free democracy and voting rights, when the people of the country are waking up to demand their rights, especially when the people started occupying the streets of Dhaka, the repression started again. The disappearance case has started. The activist who was arrested yesterday is being charged in a violence case today. By doing this, the government wants to eliminate the opposition from this country.
BNP Secretary General said that every day thousands of activists have to come to the court to appear. Despite regular attendance, they are being detained. They cannot stay in power, people have turned around today. There will be no election under this government. Jatiya Party also says that no fair election is possible under the present government. Having lost everything, Awami League is now indulging in false propaganda.
Mirza Fakhrul said that some editors are talking to the intellectuals and teachers deputizing the government. Giving everything to democracy. There is no point in showing all that. I call upon them to join the ranks of the people. Listen to what the people want.
He said, now no one believes in the shepherd boy of the government. Resigned in time. The final movement is starting soon. And Dhaka Metropolitan BNP has to play a leading role in this movement.
BNP joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon, former student leader Fazlul Haque Milan, BNP volunteer affairs secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, Juba Dal president Sultan Salauddin Tuku, BNP rural development affairs secretary Farhad Hossain Azad, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP joint convener Yunus Mridha were present. , Mosharraf Hossain Khokon, Abdus Sattar, Anam Saiful Islam, Liton Mahmud, Sekender Qadir, Haji Monir Hossain, Juba Dal Central Acting General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Milton, Chhatra Dal Acting President Rashed Iqbal Khan etc.
