* In Shaistaganj, the house of 5 people including two policemen and ex-mayor was robbed again by throwing spray.

In Shaistaganj of Habiganj district, a daring theft took place again in the residence of 5 people including two policemen and former mayor. Even though such an incident happened at the residence of 3 policemen, the police could not uncover any clue due to mysterious reasons.

Apart from the police, earlier such incidents took place in at least 30-35 houses in the last one to one and a half months. Still, the people of Shaistaganj are pointing fingers at the police administration as the police did not take any action.

There has already been a stir on social media over the issue of spraying. Various people of the country and abroad have become vocal in criticizing the police administration. Many blame the failure of the police administration for this.

Last Sunday night on September 3, SI Samiul Islam, police member Abdul Matin, former mayor Chalek Mia, vice chairman Gaziur Rahman Emran and Haji Nurul Islam’s houses were sprayed with spray and the family members were unconscious. Several members of the police family fell ill due to the spray. They have been admitted to Sadar Hospital.

There is fear among the policemen themselves because such an incident took place in the rented house of SI Samiul Islam and Abdul Matin in Udayan residential area, 1 km from Shaestaganj police station. Earlier also, DB ASI Jewel’s family members were also sprayed with a theft incident. Jewel’s baby remains ill in the hospital for a long time. But still no effective action by the police is seen. However, a person named Farooq was arrested a few days ago with the help of the crowd. On his confession, RAB arrested the godfather of a notorious CNG thief named Langra Taleb from Chittagong. Two days ago two sources of Shaistaganj police station named Farid and Subaj were arrested and handed over to the police. But the OC let them go. Locals think that no gang would dare to do such an incident without the help of police sources. Many people in the conscious think that this spray is usually used to rob passengers unconscious in cars. But for the last month and a half it is being applied at home. Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police Khalilur Rahman visited the spot and promised to arrest the culprits.

The residents of Shaistaganj demanded to investigate where the sprays were brought from or whether any of the police sources were involved in it or not. It is said that they are preparing various programs on the matter.
