The 59th Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh Tea Estate Staff Association was held at Srimangal, Moulvibazar and 250 retired tea estate staff were felicitated.

The annual general meeting of the Bangladesh Tea Estate Staff Association was held at Srimangalastha District Council Auditorium on Sunday (September 3) afternoon.

President of the association. Vice President of Parliament of Moulvibazar-4 constituencies joined virtually under the chairmanship of Zakaria Ahmad. Md. Abdus Shaheed. Former general secretary of Central Chhatra League S, M Zakir Hossain and organizing secretary of district Awami League principal Syed Mansurul Haque were present as special guests. The general secretary of the organization also spoke. Senior leaders of the organization including Aminur Rahman, Treasurer Suranjit Das. Thousands of leaders of organizations from all over the country were present in the event. In addition to the organizational discussion of the organization in the event, the speakers said that several issues including keeping festival allowance and bonus of Bangladesh Tea Estate Staff Association under the same scheme in the gazette published by the Minimum Wage Board on August 10, are in conflict with the previous agreement. Re-Gazette publication is requested to correct it.
