Srimangal Thana police have arrested two youths on the charge of raping a 65-year-old woman in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.

According to police sources, the incident took place in Jagchhara tea garden of Kalighat union of Srimangal upazila on Monday. At around 2 pm, the 65-year-old woman was raped by Mintu Kar (20) and Palash Kar (22) while taking bath in a pond adjacent to the Jagchhara tea garden. Later, when a gang rape case was filed at Srimangal police station, the officer in charge said. Under the direction of Jahangir Hossain Sardar, the investigating officer of the case Police Inspector (Operation) Tapas Chandra Roy conducted an immediate operation and arrested the two rapists accused in the rape case.
