Two students of Shabir were temporarily expelled on the charge of ragging

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has temporarily expelled two students of the political studies department as they were initially found to be involved in ragging.
This information is known from an office order signed by Fazlur Rahman, acting registrar of the university on Sunday (September 3) evening.
The temporary expelled are Israt Jahan and Zahirul Islam, students of 2021-22 session.
In another office order signed by the registrar, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Dr. A three-member committee headed by Laila Ashrafun has been formed.
The other two members of the committee are associate professors. Syed Md. Omar Farooq and assistant professor Dr. Ahsan Habib
The inquiry committee has been asked to submit its report within 15 working days.
It is known that the two students who were temporarily expelled were accused of giving a rag to a new student at the end of the orientation of the Political Studies Department on August 31.
