M. Bangladesh Tea Estate Staff Association has given a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner to protest against non-payment of salaries, bonuses, allowances, retirement financial dues and unfair and irregular dismissal of 94 employees working in 8 chabagans including 4 of Moulvibazar district of Ahmed T & Lands Co. Ltd.
On Sunday (September 3) in the morning in front of the press club, the speakers said that M. Ahmad Tea & Lands Co. Ltd. is a reputed tea manufacturing company. They have been running their business in 8 tea gardens in Bangladesh. Among them there are 4 tea gardens in Moulvibazar district namely Chandbagh, Aminabad, Fulbari and Noorjahan. It is a matter of great sadness and regret that the company authorities do not want to pay the various legal and fair dues of the employees working in the various tea gardens of the company and even the retired employees. It has become a habit of this company to violate the Bangladesh Labor Law and customary rules by delaying the payment of these fair dues. The gratuity dues of employees of various tea estates to the company since 2012, gratuity of 22 retired and dismissed members are still outstanding. Outstanding Wages (Area) for 2022-2023. Granted Bonus Since 2018 the annual granted bonus has been unpaid till now. Profit Bonus Since 2018 till now profit bonus is unpaid. Annual Leave Allowance unpaid from 2022 onwards. Maintenance Allowance unpaid since 2022. 5-6 crores outstanding. On behalf of the organization, the company authorities have been requested several times for bilateral talks with the insistence of payment of the arrears, but still they have not responded or shown the least sincerity in this regard. Speakers in Manbandhan also said, we want our fair rights. Otherwise, we will be forced to take drastic action.

Aminur Rahman, the organization’s vice president Sheikh Kaushar Mia, Kangkan Jyoti Bhatracharya, associate general secretary Md. Alamgir Chowdhury, organizing secretary Ganges Ranjan Dev, treasurer Suranjit Das spoke. , Publicity and Social Services Secretary Ibrahim Mia Sohail, Education and Research Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Russell, Regional Representative Amim Kumar Chakma, Badrul Alam, Kamal Hossain, SM Nasir and Executive Members Yakub Mia etc. Later, the leaders of Bangladesh Tea Estate Staff Association presented a memorandum to the Additional Deputy Commissioner Prabhanshu Som Mahan on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner.
