21 people have died due to dengue fever in the last 24 hours in the country. With this, a total of 618 people died of dengue this year. At the same time, another 2,352 people were admitted to the hospital. 982 of them are from Dhaka. And 1 lakh 27 thousand 694 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue this year. A total of 59,592 people have been admitted to hospital with dengue fever in Dhaka this year.

The Department of Health has given this information in a press release sent to the media on Saturday (September 2). It can be seen that the official statistics of dengue cases and deaths so far this year has broken all the records of the last 24 years.

According to the notification, currently a total of 8 thousand 632 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 3 thousand 903 dengue patients admitted in Dhaka’s public and private hospitals and 4 thousand 729 dengue patients in other hospitals.

This year, 1 lakh 27 thousand 694 patients have been admitted to hospitals and received treatment for dengue throughout the country. Among them, 59 thousand 592 people received treatment in Dhaka and 68 thousand 102 people outside Dhaka. Among the affected, 1 lakh 18 thousand 844 people have recovered from the hospital and returned home. 55 thousand 233 in Dhaka and 63 thousand 211 outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home.

Incidentally, data storage of the first dengue patient started in 2000 in the country. 93 people died of dengue that year, 5 thousand 551 people were diagnosed.
