Officers should work dedicatedly to control pollution – Environment Secretary

In a ceremony organized today in the meeting room of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, three officials/employees of the Ministry were given Integrity Awards in different categories. This award was given for their important contribution in the implementation of the national integrity strategy in the fiscal year 2022-2023. In the event, the secretary of the ministry, Dr. Farhina Ahmed, as the chief guest, handed over one month’s salary, a certificate and a crest to the officers and employees who received the Integrity award.

Shamima Begum, Joint secretary of the ministry received the award from the officials from 2nd grade to 9th grade, personal officer T. M. Salahuddin was awarded from 10th grade to 16th grade and Office Assistant Nandan Barua received the Integrity Award between 17th to 20th grade. Additional Secretary (Administration) Iqbal Abdullah Harun, Additional Secretary (Environmental Pollution Control) Md. Mizanur Rahman NDC and Additional Secretary (Development) Fahmida Khanom and high officials of the ministry were present in the meeting.

In the speech of the chief guest, the secretary of the ministry, Dr. Farhina Ahmed, said that the officials and employees of the ministry should implement modern innovative ideas to control all types of environmental pollution including air pollution, water pollution, for the people to live happily. Government employees must perform their respective responsibilities with utmost importance and assured quality with competition. Building a smart Bangladesh will be easier if we work out of love for the country.
