The Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) Said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has lit the light on the dark hill. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a radical change has taken place in hilly Chittagong. Minister said these words during the foundation and inauguration of various development projects in Lama and Alikadam upazilas of Bandarban On Wednesday (August 30).

He also said that during the tenure of the current government for fourteen consecutive years, there has been unprecedented development in various fields including communication, health, agriculture and education. To continue this development in the hills, Sheikh Hasina should be brought back to power in the upcoming twelfth election.

At that time, Minister also said, this time there has been a lot of damage in Bandarban due to this flood. Various organizations of the government are working tirelessly to stand by every affected person. We are a nation of heroes, we will overcome the calamity soon, we will stand tall. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken a round-the-clock search for the affected people. We stand by the affected people with our maximum and will stand by.

On this day, Minister Bir Bahadur inaugurated 14 development projects worth Tk 22 crore 42 lakh. LGED Bandarban, Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board (Bandarban Unit), Roads and Highway, Bandarban and Bandarban Hill District Council are implementing these development projects.

Later, the minister visited various welfare projects including communication, agriculture, religious institutions. He also distributed relief rice, wavy and cash among the flood victims.
