Mobile court operation in Chattogram

A fine of Tk 5 lakh was imposed on fulkoli Food Product Factory of Bakolia in port city and Tk 4 lakh on Barcode Food Junction in Muradpur. It was imposed on Wednesday (August 30) in a mobile court operation led by Bangladesh Safe Food Authority Executive Magistrate BM Moshiur Rahman.
Chittagong District and Metropolitan Safe Food Officer Md Farhan Islam said, during the operation at Fulkali Food Product Factory, production of food products in unhealthy environment, rigging of period, violation of leveling regulations, use of low-quality raw materials and various crimes were observed as per Safe Food Act, 2013. Various irregularities were observed in the kitchen of Barcode Food Junction including unsanitary food processing, storage of rotten meat in refrigerator, use of unauthorized ghee, storage of raw and cooked meat together, a fine of Tk 4 lakh was imposed and collected immediately as per the Safe Food Act, 2013.
Barcode owner Manjurul Haque, who spoke to Morningglory on the matter, disagreed with the allegations. He also said that rotten meat in his establishment is cooked with fresh beef.
Later he challenged and challenged the reporter. Meanwhile, when anotherņm organization tried to contact fulkoli authority by phone but they did not answer the call.
This operation will be continued by bd safe food authorities.
