Sheikh Hasina eyed Rangpur’s 8 districts: Railway Minister

Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has paid special attention to the 8 districts of Rangpur. He is personally working to solve the problems of the people of this region. Which is slowly becoming visible. This government improved the agricultural system of Mandata period to mechanized farming system. He is working to make the people of this country economically independent. The neglected women of this country have taken various steps for the development of the society. Giving allowance to pregnant women. Started free education for girls from primary to higher secondary.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the reopening ceremony of Ramsagar Express train which was closed at Bonarpara railway station of Saghata upazila of Gaibandha on Tuesday (August 29).

The Railway Minister said that the present Prime Minister is working to improve the Railway Department by declaring the Railway Ministry as a separate ministry. Which no government has done before.

He also said that now the BNP-Jamaat alliance has again started incendiary terrorism across the country for the greed of power. They have burnt common people of this country before. They need your help to stop this fire terror.

Saghata Upazila Awami League President Advocate SM Samshil Arefin Titu presided over and Upazila Awami League General Secretary Nasirul Alam Swapan spoke among others, Jatiya Sangsad Whip Mahabub Ara Begum Gini MP, Gaibandha-5 Member of Parliament Mahmud Hasan Ripon, Phulchhari Upazila Awami League. League President and Upazila Parishad Chairman GM Salim Parvez and others. First, the Ramsagar Express train was launched from Bonarpara station in Saghata Upazila of Gaibandha in 2010. It leaves Bonarpara at 6:30 am and reaches Dinajpur station at 11:40 am. He left from there at 3:50 pm and returned to Bonarpara around 9:30 pm. As the train went to Dinajpur via Gaibandha, Kaunia and Rangpur in the morning, it soon became popular with the people of Gaibandha, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat and Rangpur districts, especially the office workers. But the railway authorities suddenly canceled the train service on 24 August 2012 without any notice. At present, the second mail 59/60 train will halt at 24 stations on the 264 km route from Bonarpara to Panchagarh B.M.U.C.E.
