Students are admitted to Shabi Prabi through dope test

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Shabiprabi) is admitting first year undergraduate students through dope test for the fourth time. This test is being conducted on the admitted students to verify whether the student is addicted to drugs or not.
The university’s first year admission program for the 2022-23 session began on Sunday (August 27) from 9:30 am. The program was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the University. Md. Kabir Hossain. At this time, the vice-chancellor said that the admission process is going on very well. Admission of students is being done by determining whether the students are addicted to drugs or not through dope test. We will not admit any drug addicted student. Hopefully, this year’s admission process will be completed smoothly.

Mahbubul Hakim, Director of IQAC Professor Dr. Mohsin Aziz Khan, Director of Research Center Prof. Dr. SM Saiful Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences Prof. Dr. Kamrul Islam, Director of IICT Prof. Dr. Zahirul Islam and Registrar (Acting) Md. Fazlur Rahman and others were present.
Admission committee member secretary. Mahbubul Hakim said that this year’s final admission process will be completed on August 27, 28 and 29. Students of different departments will be admitted in three phases every day. According to the scheduled list, this year’s admission process has started with the admission of students of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science (CEP) and Chemistry department at 9:30 am on Sunday.
He also said that 12 thousand 250 taka is being taken from the students for this year’s admission. Dedicated booths have been set up for depositing money. The officials of Sonali Bank University Branch are giving the receipt to the students after depositing this money.
On the other hand, the volunteers of the university’s blood donation organization ‘Sankarna’ are working for the blood test of the students who have not brought the documents after taking the blood test. Besides, all the work of dope test is being conducted by BMB department of the university.
