BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the government will soon be forced to resign and a non-partisan neutral government will be established.
On Sunday (August 27) national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s death anniversary, he said this to reporters while paying tribute to his grave.
In response to the questions of the reporters about the BNP’s top leaders going to Singapore at the same time, Rizvi said, ‘These are ridiculous things. They are seriously ill. So they went to Singapore for treatment.
This leader of BNP said that our standing committee member Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain was seriously ill and went there a month ago. Our Secretary General also regularly receives medical treatment in Singapore. Mirza Abbas is also suffering from a complex illness. He went there for treatment. So why the question of conspiracy? Do they not have the right to better treatment? Why would demanding a fair vote or a democratic movement be a conspiracy?
He said, soon the government will be forced to resign and a non-partisan neutral government will be established inshallah.
Rizvi said, national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam has traveled in every field of Bengali literature. The poems, songs and life ideals of the national poet inspire us in the movement and struggle against the current regime in the country. Encourages our democratic movement. When we march, when we raise slogans, when we go to jail, the poetry of this great national poet inspires us.
He said, while speaking for democracy, today Khaleda Zia is imprisoned, Tariq Rahman is unable to come to the country. He was also sentenced. Thousands of activists are still in prison. National poet is one of our inspiration to get rid of this.
BNP health affairs secretary Rafiqul Islam, Jasas convener Helal Khan, BNP executive committee member Aminul Islam, Jasas member secretary Zakir Hossain Rokon and others were with him.
