An autorickshaw passenger named Mozammel Mia (62) was killed by a covered van in Gobindganj upazila of Gaibandha.

The accident happened on Sunday (August 27) around 11:30 am in Gobindganj filling station area.

The deceased is a resident of Mozammel Mia Bakchar village.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gobindganj Police Station Shamsul Alam Shah confirmed the matter.

According to locals, Mozammel Mia was going to join an autorickshaw on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Gobindganj. Meanwhile, he fell from the rickshaw at that place. Another covered van hit him and he died on the spot.
