Foreigners have raised their voices against human rights violations including disappearances and murders in Bangladesh: Rizvi
Dhaka/
Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP, said that foreigners have raised their voices against the deprivation of human rights one after another, including disappearances, murders and murders in Bangladesh. We thank the democratic countries that have spoken out against Sheikh Hasina’s cycle of taking away human rights. The democratic people will be encouraged by their support.
He said this in a short rally before the black flag march organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP in front of the party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Friday (August 25) afternoon.
Rizvi said why the resignation of Sheikh Hasina is necessary today, it is necessary to have a neutral government during the election because if the people of the country want to vote, then they cannot vote with Sheikh Hasina in power. He has taken ethics, truth and honesty from Bangladesh. He has turned Bangladesh into a state of disappearances and murders.
Referring to a speech of Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Rizvi said, Obaidul Quader said that why foreigners are so worried about the internal politics of Bangladesh. In 1991, Sheikh Hasina wrote to every embassy and donor agency in Bangladesh, seeking to intervene in the country’s politics. In November 1991, the daily Inkilab made headlines for, Sheikh Hasina said, meddling in Bangladeshi politics. BNP government was in power till 2001-06, who gave 55 demands to 50 diplomats at that time? This Awami League, this lying prime minister, he asked to intervene in this country. And today he said, why do foreigners bother about the internal politics of Bangladesh. You do not remember that? You have repeatedly met and asked to interfere in the politics of Bangladesh.
This spokesperson of BNP said that the government is today missing and murdering the leaders and activists of the opposition party. No Ilyas Ali, no Chowdhury Alam. Tanveer Robin has been taken away. Police, intelligence forces are attacking BNP leaders and activists from house to house. Bangladesh of fear today, Bangladesh of panic, and only Sheikh Hasina is responsible for it.
BNP Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Vice-Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu, Mohammad Shahjahan, Advisor to the Chairperson Monirul Haque Chowdhury, Abdus Salam, Publicity Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury and others were present.
