In a private clinic in Gaibandha city, there have been allegations of operation by keeping gauze on abdomen during caesarean section. Currently, the pregnant woman is undergoing treatment at a private clinic in Rangpur. The health department formed a three-member inquiry committee when the family of the maternity child complained to the civil surgeon.

A three-member inquiry committee headed by a woman consultant was formed to investigate the incident.

Earlier this incident took place at Gaibandha Clinic on July 23. In the complaint of the victim, Rumi Begum, a housewife, performed a caesarean operation at the clinic on July 23. Then after 5 days, the housewives started having various complications. At one point, when his condition worsened, his family took him to the clinic’s doctor. After seeing the progress of the condition, he was admitted to the operation theater. After the operation, he was taken out and admitted to a cabin. When the patient’s condition worsened, the housewife was referred to Rangpur for better treatment in the face of family and police fire.

Meanwhile, last Thursday (August 17) at Najma Clinic in Rangpur, dirt and rotten parts were removed from the housewife’s stomach through an operation. In this regard, the accused doctor Dr. Md. Ekram Hossain told mediapersons that Rumi Begum’s operation was complicated due to the third caesarean section. After getting to know about her problem after caesarean we wanted to treat her. But as her husband did not agree to treat me here, I referred her for better treatment in Rangpur. Then the patient’s relatives did not contact me again.

Dr. Gaibandha Civil Surgeon to know the matter. Md. Abdullahel Mafi said that an investigation committee of 3 members has been formed in this incident. Necessary action will be taken based on the investigation report.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gaibandha Sadar Police Station Masud Rana told CNBangladesh that a complaint has been filed in this incident. It is under investigation.
