A housewife named Sahida Begum (30) died while catching ducks in a pond in Gaibandha’s Sadullapur.

The incident took place in Srirampur (Hajipara) village of Naldanga union of the upazila on Saturday (August 19) morning.

The deceased Sahida Begum is the wife of Shafiqul Islam of that village.

Relatives said that at that time Sahida Begum’s pet duck was swimming in a pond. He went down to the pond to catch this duck. In the meantime, he died due to the electric wire lying in the water of the pond. Confirming this information, Naldanga Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Abdul Gafur Ali said that such an incident is very sad. Everyone needs to be aware of this.
