The family of Belal, who was killed in a road accident in Oman, is worried about bringing the body back to the country

A remittance fighter named Belal Hossain (34) of Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar died in a road accident in Oman.
On Monday (August 14) at the house of Belal Hossain in Adhkani village of Adampur Union, it was seen that the family is in mourning after hearing the news of the death of a relative in a distant country.
Belal’s newly widowed wife Tahmina Begum (25) keeps falling unconscious. Two ignorant children Ayesha (5) and Abdullah (3) have not yet understood the pain of losing their father.
The deceased’s father Abdur Rahman (72) and younger brother Helal Uddin said that on Sunday (August 13) night, another expatriate from Oman, their close relative Riaz Mia, informed them about the death of Belal Hossain in a road accident in Oman. Killed in a sudden road accident. The police recovered his body and kept it in the morgue of a hospital there. Belal migrated to Oman just nine months ago with the hope of bringing prosperity to the impoverished family. Before that, he used to lead a mosque.
Expressing his anger, Belal’s younger brother said that Sajid Mia, a person from the neighboring Kanthalkandi village, sent Belal Hossain to Oman with the lure of a good job with good salary. Belal went there and worked as a laborer for very low wages. But when his relatives contacted Sajid Mia about his accident, he did not respond. The family is skeptical about bringing Belal’s body back to the country.
Adampur UP Chairman Abdal Hossain said that government support is needed to bring back the body of Belal Hossain, son of a very poor family.
In this regard, Assistant Director of Moulvibazar Regional Office of Bangladesh Ministry of Labor and Manpower (BMET) Mosharraf Hossain said that in view of the request of the deceased expatriate’s relatives, cooperation will be given as much as possible.
Kamalganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Acting) and Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Raich Al Rezwan assured humanitarian assistance to the poor family of slain remittance fighter Belal.
