A guest’s mobile phone was stolen by breaking the window glass of a room of Hotel Tower Inn in Jubilee Road area of Chittagong city. The incident took place in a room on the fifth floor of the hotel in the early hours of Saturday (August 12). However, the hotel authorities did not take any action in this regard, the victim complained.
The police also say that the hotel authorities did not tell them anything about this.
Taufiqu Ahmed, working in the circulation department of The Business Standard newspaper, was staying in that room.
He said, “The hotel authorities are not taking any action in this regard. They just expressed grief.”
Kotwari police station officer-in-charge (OC) Zahidul Kabir said, “The hotel authorities did not tell us anything. If the hotel mobile is lost or stolen, the hotel authorities will have to file a case.”
