On Sunday (August 13) morning MD.Shamsul Islam took charge as the Mayor of Bandarban Municipality.On The Time,The acting mayor of Bandarban Municipality Saurabh Dash Shekhar handed over the responsibility to the newly elected mayor.

Regional council member Md.Shafiqur Rahman,district Awami League general secretary Laxmi pada Das,Municipal chief executive officer and executive magistrate Arup Ratan Singha,Executive engineer Mozammel Haque,Councilors of various wards and municipal officials and employees were present on the occasion.

At this time,Mayor Shamsul called on every employee of the municipality to perform their duties properly in times of disaster.
