Two members of the US Congress, who are visiting Bangladesh, asked Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen about the government’s plans for national elections. They also wanted to know whether there is a way for the two main political parties to come to an agreement regarding the election.

US Congress members Ed Keyes and Richard McCormick, who are visiting Bangladesh for the first time, held a meeting with the Foreign Minister at Padma State Guest House on Sunday afternoon.

The foreign minister gave this information to reporters after a lunch meeting with members of the US Congress.
