11 more people have died due to dengue in the country. 147 people died of dengue this month. And this year, the number of deaths due to this disease stood at 398.

This information has been informed in the press release of the Department of Health on Sunday. It has been said that 2 thousand 905 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours from yesterday Saturday morning to 8 am today. With this, the number of hospitalizations due to dengue this year in the country stood at 85 thousand 411.

According to the press release, among the people who died of dengue in the last 24 hours, 7 people died in different hospitals in Dhaka and 4 people died outside Dhaka. During this period, 1 thousand 42 people were newly admitted to various government and private hospitals in Dhaka and 1 thousand 863 people outside Dhaka.

This year, out of 85 thousand 411 people who were admitted to hospitals across the country, 42 thousand 746 people were admitted in Dhaka and 42 thousand 665 people were admitted outside Dhaka.

Last year, 281 people died of dengue in the country. That record has been surpassed this year. Last month alone, 204 people died of dengue. Before this, 179 people died in 2019. Apart from this, 7 people died in 2020 and 105 people died in 2021.
