A young man named Tarek Mia (20) hanged himself in Mashadia village of Lakhai upazila. This incident happened because he was not married to his favorite bride on Saturday afternoon. He is the son of Selu Mia of that village.

It is known that he liked a girl from the same upazila. But recently because the marriage was arranged elsewhere, he hanged himself on a tree near the house in anger. He narrowly survived when his family took him to Sadar Hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment.
