425 immigrants including 252 Bangladeshis detained in Malaysia

The country’s immigration department has detained 425 migrants including 252 Bangladeshis in Malaysia. Those aged between 8-54 years.
They were arrested at 1am on Friday (August 5) at three separate flats in the Taman Connaught area of Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
80 immigration officers who participated in the operation checked the documents of a total of 600 local and foreign citizens. Out of this, 425 people who have no or expired documents were detained.
Among those detained are 108 migrants from Myanmar, 30 from Indonesia, 20 from Nepal, 7 from Pakistan, 6 from Cambodia and 2 from the Philippines.
