A human chain has been formed in Sylhet demanding the banning of Maududibadi Jamaat-Shibir, a terrorist and militant organization that opposes the great liberation war.

This human chain and protest rally was held in front of the central Shaheed Minar of the city on Friday (August 4) afternoon under the initiative of Sylhet district branch of Bangladesh Muktijudda Manch.

Under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Muktijuddha Manch Sylhet District Vice President Machum Ahmed and General Secretary Imon Ibn Samraj, Bangladesh Muktijuddha Manch Sylhet District Vice President Mizanur Rahman Talukdar, Vice President Hossain Siddiqui, Organizing Secretary Afzal Ahmed Shubo, Joint General Secretary spoke during the human chain. MR Suhag, Cultural Secretary Saheed Ahmed, Office Secretary Tanim Rahman, Rahman Talukdar, Rahian Ahmed, Tahid Ahmed, Mahin Ahmed etc.

The speakers in the human chain said that Maoist Jamaat-Shibir is conspiring one after another to destabilize the country. On the one hand they are traitors, on the other hand they are heretics. By defaming the name of Islam, they are corrupting the holy religion of Islam and destroying the faith and practice of the common Muslims of this country. So every leader and worker should be alert and face them. The country is moving towards development today. In the future, under the leadership of People’s Leader Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh will move forward on the path of development.
