Accused of obtaining wealth outside of known income and concealing information in the case of fugitive Tarek Rahman and his wife Dr. 9 years. The court sentenced Zobaida Rahman to 3 years imprisonment. At the same time, confiscation of assets of Tk 2 crore 74 lakh has been announced. Arrest warrants have been issued for the two as they are absconding.

On Wednesday afternoon, the judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court. Achaduzzaman announced the verdict.

Earlier, the court accepted the testimony of 42 out of 56 witnesses in the ACC case.

In this case, on April 13, the court ordered the trial to be started against the absconding couple.

This case was filed against Tariq Rahman and his wife Zobaida Rahman during the caretaker government in 2007. He was arrested at that time. After being released on bail in 2008, he moved to London with his family. After that he did not return to the country.
