Upazila Mahila Awami League tri-anniversary conference-2023 was held at Kumarkhali in Kushtia. National and Women’s League party flags are hoisted at the beginning of the tri-annual conference. Later balloons with doves symbolizing peace are flown. Upazila Mahila Awami League organized tri-annual conference of Upazila Mahila Awami League at Kumarkhali Public Library auditorium on Saturday (July 29).
Barrister Salim Altaf George, Member of Parliament for 78 Kushtia-4 (Khoksa-Kumarkhali) Constituency and Presidium member of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League, spoke as the chief guest in the conference.
Upazila Women’s Awami League President Shamima Parveen Rozi was present in the chair, District Women’s Awami League President Zeb-un-Nisa Sabuj, General Secretary Adv. Khandkar Sams Tanim Mukti, Organizing Secretary Afroza Akhter Dew, Kumarkhali Upazila Awami League’s Joint General Secretary Md. Atiyar Rahman Tuku, Organizing Secretary Salauddin Khan Tarek, Municipal Awami League General Secretary Aktaruzzaman Nipun, Upazila Jubo League President Harun-or-Rashid Harun, Vice President SM Rafiq, Upazila Mahila Parishad President Mumtaz Begum etc. District, Upazila, Union, Ward Awami League leaders along with Upazila Women Awami League leaders were present in the conference.
After the first session of the conference, the committee of Upazila Mahila Awami League was announced for the next 3 years in the second session. The names of Shamima Parveen Rozi and General Secretary Sharmin Rima were announced as president.
