District Shilpakala Academy Honors-2023 awarded to 25 meritorious persons for their contribution in the field of art,literature and culture in Bandarban.They were presented with the award at a function organized on Saturday (July 29) evening at Arun Saraki Town Hall.Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh was present as the chief guest in the event. Acting Chairman of Bandarban Hill District Council Singyoung Mro presided over the event.

Speaking as the chief guest, Minister Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh MP said, ‘Shilpakala Academy is the field of quality expression or practice.But in the absence of good organizers,the scope of talent development is very limited.Due to which it was not possible to construct a building of Shilpakala Academy in Bandarban.In this reality,new meritorious persons are not being developed and when it comes time to confer honors,they are selected from the traditional list.

In this perspective, there is art but there is no artist, we have to come out of this limitation with our own efforts.Shilpakala has to play a role in creating an organizer.In turn,if only one person has to act as organizer,neither the art nor the artist will develop.At The Time Minister Bir Bahadur commented on Shilpakala Academy Honor-2023 as a great initiative.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nargis Sultana (Representative Deputy Commissioner),Assistant Superintendent of Police Mozaffar Hossain (Representative,Superintendent of Police), District Council Member Lakshipada Das,District Cultural Officer Jannat Ara Juthi,District Shilpakala Academy General Secretary Md.Aminul Islam Baccu Was Present At The Time.Also Cultural organizers of various levels including journalists and many others were present.According to the organizers, Shilpakala Academy honored 5 to 25 talented artists,organizers and organizations from 2018 to 2022.
