Dead body of college student recovered from Srimangal railway line

The police recovered the body of a student of Moulvibazar Government College from the side of railway line in Srimangale of Moulvibazar district.
Police recovered the dead body of Maulvibazar Government College student Shanto Debnath (19) from Sawtalpara area of Aiter Signal area of Srimangal suburb at 12 o’clock on Tuesday (July 26).
The recovered body was severed from the waist and an arm was not found. It is believed that the hand may have been taken into the forest by a pack of jackals. When the family members were contacted from the mobile phone found with the dead body, the police identified the identity of the deceased.
Deceased Shanta Debnath is the son of Nikhil Debnath of Rajnagar village of Rajnagar upazila of district. He was an HSC candidate this year in Moulvibazar Government College.
Shanto Debnath’s cousin Shimul Debnath said, Shanta Debnath could not be found all day and went to Rajnagar police station at night to report GD. At that time I received a phone call from Srimangal and identified Shanto. He could not say exactly why Shant had come to Srimangal and why he would go to that Santal Para area.
In this regard, Srimangal Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mir Sabbir Ali told CNBangladesh that after the body was recovered, it was sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
