A young man named Mintu Mia (28) died due to electrocution in Phulchari Upazila of Gaibandha.

The incident took place at his home in Ghazaria (Katlamari) village of Ghazaria union of the upazila on Monday (July 24).

The deceased Mintu Mia is the son of deceased Osman Gani of that village.

Relatives said that when there was an electricity problem in his house in the afternoon, he started working to solve the problem himself. At the time he was electrocuted due to carelessness. He was seriously injured and taken to Phulchhari Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Ghazaria Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Khorshed Ali Khan confirmed Khushu’s death.
