Police have arrested two persons on charges of torturing two juveniles, including a disabled juvenile, in Kulaura, Moulvibazar.

Khalid Hasan Rumel (30) and Pappu Pal (21) were arrested on charges of inhumane torture of two juveniles, including a disabled juvenile.

According to Kulaura police sources, on the afternoon of July 19, the director of Bengal Foods of Robirbazar, Kulaura, Khalid Hasan Rumel gave the disabled Rubel Mia (17) the job of unloading the goods of his establishment from the car. The director of the establishment, Khalid Hasan Rumel, saw the matter when Rubel Mia, a disabled teenager, was carrying a bottle of Trigger Drinks after work.
Later, disabled teenager Rubel Mia was arrested along with some employees of his shop. At this time, when Jiban Ahmed (16), the cousin of the disabled teenager, came forward to rescue the disabled Rubel, the employees of Bengal Foods along with the director took him to a gym center on the second floor of Bengal Foods and beat him severely and tied his hands and feet. Later at 8:00 p.m. two teenagers were charged with theft from the gym center and taken to the office of Robirbazar Traders Welfare Association. Later, the business leaders called the parents of the two teenagers and signed the white papers and released them. From there, the two teenagers were taken to the upazila health complex and treated by their family members.
