Emphasis on expanding the screening program nationwide. A coordination meeting on the development of cervical and breast cancer screening was held in Gopalganj. The program was celebrated in the meeting room of Sheikh Saira Khatun Medical College in Gopalganj throughout the day on Saturday.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed spoke as the chief guest on the occasion.
Sheikh Saira Khatun Medical College Principal Professor Dr Md Zakir Hossain presided over the event.
Health Education and Family Welfare Department Additional Secretary (Administration) AKM Noorunnabi Kabir, Health Education and Family Welfare Department Joint Secretary (Planning) Md. Abdus Salam Khan, Sheikh Saera Khatun Medical College Head of Surgery Dr. Anup Kumar Mazumder, Pathology Department Head Dr. Md. Tofazzel Hossain spoke as special guests.
Besides, Deputy Commissioner of Gopalganj Kazi Mahbubul Alam, Superintendent of Police Al-Beli Afifa were present as special guests in the event. Gopalganj civil surgeon Dr. Niaz Mohammad gave a welcome speech on the occasion.
The purpose of the workshop was informed by the project director of EPCBCSP Prof. Dr. Ashrafunnesa.
Later the breast clinic was inaugurated there.
