“12-14 percent of votes cast in Dhaka-17 seat”
Online Desk/
Election Commissioner (EC) said that 12-14 percent votes were cast in Dhaka-17 seat by-election. Alamgir Hossain.
He said this in response to questions from reporters at the Agargaon election building in the capital on Monday.
Md. Alamgir said that the polling of the Dhaka-17 seat by-election was fair and peaceful. Haven’t seen any untoward incident so far. 12 to 14 percent votes were cast in this by-election.
He also said that polling has taken place in 124 centres. Something happened in one centre, that means the election was not messed up. An independent candidate wanted to enter the center with supporters. There were about 70 YouTubers with him. No one other than the candidate can enter the center. So the police kicked them out. Later, someone beat him outside the center. I have identified those involved in the incident and instructed the police to file a case.
