Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit China. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said, now is a good time to strengthen the strong relationship between the two countries. British news agency Reuters reported this news.

At a regular briefing, Peskov said the date of Putin’s visit to China would be announced after finalization. He said, now is the golden time to maintain the diversified progress of Russia-China bilateral relations. The final date will be agreed upon and will be communicated. Dialogue is going on at various levels.

After the invasion of Ukraine, Russia has strengthened economic, commercial, political and military ties with China. A week before the February 24, 2022 invasion of Ukraine, Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping announced in Beijing that their “relationship has no limits.”

Chinese President visited Moscow in March this year. At that time, several economic and other agreements were signed with ‘dear friend’ Putin. China is an important buyer of Russian oil and gas. The country presented a proposal for a ceasefire in Ukraine. But Kiev and its Western allies rejected it.

Peskov said the two leaders will discuss bilateral trade, economic cooperation and global issues during Putin’s possible visit to Beijing.
