Netrakona district Awami League bids farewell to MP Rebecca Momin

National Member of Parliament for Netrakona 4 Constituency Rebecca Momin (76) is no more. On Tuesday, July 11, around 4:30 in the morning, she died while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in Dhaka (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). She was suffering from various diseases related to old age for a long time. Rebecca Momin is the wife of former Food Minister Abul Momen of Netrakona 4 Constituency. She was the trusted ally of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She was a Member of National Parliament for Netrakona 4 Constituency for three consecutive terms. Village house is in Kaziahati village of Mohanganj upazila of Netrokona. After hearing the news of her death, a shadow of mourning fell between the district and upazila Awami League. State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khosru, Central Awami League Culture Affairs Secretary and Member of Parliament Asim Kumar Ukil, Reserved Seat MP Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali, Former Senior Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office Sazzadul Hasan, District Awami League President freedom fighter Advocate Amirul Islam, General Secretary Advocate Shamchur Rahman VP Liton, India Bangladesh recently General Secretary freedom fighter Md. Mantaj Uddin, Central Awami League Adviser Matior Rahman Khan, Zilla Parishad Chairman freedom fighter Asit Kumar Sajal, Former Zilla Parishad Chairman Prashant Kumar Roy, Mayor freedom fighter Md. Nazrul Islam Khan, former District Awami League Vice President Habibur Rahman Khan Ratan, Former Joint Secretary Noor Khan Mituu, Former Organizing Secretary Professor Bhajan Sarkar, Central Volunteer League Forest and Environment Secretary Sarwar Morshed Justice, Former Central Chhatra League Organizing Secretary Shah Mastufa Alamgir, District Bangabandhu Parishad President Dr Shaukat Akbar Fakir, President of the District Freedom Fighters Congress, Professor Omar Farooq expressed condolence.
