A youth named Shafiq Mia (27) was killed after losing control of his motorcycle in Madhavpur. Shafiq is the son of Hormuz Mia of Abbaschar area of Dharmaghar police station of Sunamganj district. The accident took place in Noapara Mirzapur area of the upazila on Sunday morning.

It is known that Shafiq Mia is a factory worker by profession. He used to work at Saiham Textiles from his father-in-law’s house in Madhavpur upazila for a long time. Like every morning, he left home on his motorcycle to go to work. On the way, the motorcycle lost control and overturned when it reached Noapara Mirzapur area. He was seriously injured. Later he was rescued and brought to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
