The 15-member convening committee of Srimangal town BNP formed two days ago has been canceled and a 19-member committee has been reconstituted.

On Thursday (July 6), Moulvibazar District District BNP 1st Joint General Secretary Md. Fakhrul Islam announced the reorganization of Srimangal Town BNP Committee through a press release.
The district BNP press release said that on February 18, 2020, Srimangal town BNP committee was given on the recommendation of Nationalist Party BNP central committee member and district BNP member Haji Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury. That committee has not held a single meeting in the last 3 and a half years. Therefore, on July 4, 2023, district BNP President M Nasser Rahman and 1st Joint General Secretary Md. Fakhrul Islam approved the convening committee of Srimangal Town BNP with 15 members due to the weakness of the committee. Later, at the request of the local BNP, the 15-member committee was suspended and on July 6, 2023, the 19-member reconvened convening committee was approved by including the names of 4 more members. The 4 members included with the previous 15 members are Mohsin Mia Madhu, Md Shamim Ahmed, Moshabbir Ali Munna and Rubel Ahmed.
