A school student named Nahiyan (13) died of electrocution while checking the electrical work of a house in Gaibandha.

The accident took place in a house in Munsipara area of Gaibandha town on Thursday afternoon. The deceased is the son of Humayan Kabir of Nahian Munsipara area. He was a seventh standard student of Beam Laboratory School in Gaibandha.

Asaduzzaman Sarkar Hasu, Ward No. 8 Councilor of Gaibandha Municipality, quoting locals said that electrical work was going on in the second floor of Humayan Kabir’s house in Munsipara area. In the afternoon, his son Nahyan went upstairs to watch the electrical work. At that time, he accidentally got electrocuted by accidentally touching a leakage wire and became seriously ill. Later, relatives rescued Nahian and took him to Gaibandha District Headquarters Hospital, where the attending doctor declared him brought dead.
