Eco-friendly village and permaculture training in Kishoreganj

In Nilphamari Kishoreganj upazila, a three-day training on environment-friendly village and perma culture was held. 25 members of Environment Friendly Village and Village Development Committee participated in the training organized by Kishoreganj Area Program World Vision Bangladesh from June 20 to 22 at North Durakuti Kabiraj Para village in Bahagili Union. During the training, Kishoregonj AP Manager Piking Chambugong, Field Technical Specialist Sagir Ahmad of Lovelyhood, Additional Agriculture Officer provided ideas on organic fertilizer management, toxic free vegetables, fruit production, water management, climate change mitigation, eco-friendly stoves and plantation. Tushar Kanti Roy, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Nasima Begum, Program Officer Swapon Kispotta. Piking Chambugong said, this training initiative has been taken to guide the local people towards sustainable development. As a result, the residents will be able to achieve long-term capacity.
