The Sylhet City Corporation election was completed without any untoward incident. Voters cast their votes peacefully at the polling stations. Votes are taken in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

Voting started from 8 am on Wednesday (June 21) and continued till 4 pm. A total of 272 councilors contested for general seats in 42 wards in this election. Among them, 42 general councilors were elected by the residents of the city.
