Equal rights of people of all religions in Bangladesh: Obaidul Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that Muslims and people of other religions are all equal in Bangladesh. People of all religions have equal rights in this country, everyone is a first class citizen.
He said these things at a discussion meeting organized at ISKCON Swamibagh Ashram on the occasion of Sri Sri Jagannathdev’s Rath Yatra Mahotsav at Swamibagh in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
Awami League General Secretary said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina conveyed greetings and best wishes to Sanatan Dharma members on the occasion of Sri Sri Jagannath Dev’s Rath Yatra. The Prime Minister said that Awami League was on the side of Sanatan religious people in difficult times, hardships and calamities, and will continue to be in the future.
Obaidul Quader said, addressing the followers of traditional religion, you should never think of yourself as a minority. Like other religions you are also first class citizens of the country. You and Muslim voters have equal rights. All people of Bangladesh are first class citizens. We all made the country independent through the liberation war.
ISKCON Bangladesh General Secretary Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari presided over the discussion meeting, Awami League Organizing Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Executive Committee Member Nirmal Chatterjee, Director of Indira Gandhi Cultural Center in Bangladesh Mrinmoy Chakraborty, Mahanagar Puja Celebration Committee President Monindra Kumar Nath etc.
