Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup Football Tournament (Boys Under-17) has started in Jaldhaka Upazila of Nilphamari. Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Ghosh officially inaugurated this tournament on Saturday (June 17) afternoon at the Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium ground of the upazila. Before this, a short discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Moinul Islam. Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Wahed Bahadur, Municipal Mayor Elias Hossain Bablu, Upazila Sports Association Secretary Shahid Hossain Rubel spoke on the occasion. OC investigation Biswadev Roy, Vice Chairman Golam Pasha Elitch, Upazila A-League President & former MP Professor Golam Mostafa, Central Jubo League Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Saddam Hossain Pavel, UP Chairman Association President Dauabari Union Chairman Saiful Islam Mukul, Kathali Union Chairman Sohrab Hossain Tuhin, Khutmara Chairman Rakibul Islam & Kaimari Union Chairman Sadekul Siddique Sadek and others were present. On the opening day Golmunda Union faced Shaulmari Union in the 1st game and Kathali Union faced Khutamara Union in the 2nd game.1 municipality and 11 union teams are participating in the tournament organized by Upazila Sports Association.
